Dr. Renee Tucker received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN. Although she grew up in a Chicago suburb and never owned a horse, this did not stop her from devoting her veterinary practice entirely to horses.
Dr. Tucker added her Certification for Animal Chiropractic (CAC) in 1998, and her Acupuncture certification in 2000.
Dr. Tucker started her own private practice specializing exclusively in equine acupuncture and chiropractic work in 2000.
“How things work” has always been a question that Dr. Tucker loved to figure out. Prior to receiving her veterinary degree, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering. This unique combination of veterinarian and engineer has enabled her to create a special approach for helping owners with their horses.
Where Does My Horse Hurt? is the book she wrote for horse owners because she was heartsick about all the clients who said, “If only I had known.”
Dr. Tucker saw: “Too many horse owners with lame horses, or behavior problems, or with horses that just can’t do their job….and no one can find the answers for them! But there is no one to tell them it’s a simple chiropractic fix.”
So she set out to write a “how to” book for horse owners. Where Does My Horse Hurt? is a bestseller from Trafalgar Square Publishers and has helped thousands of horses.
Dr. Tucker spent ten years in the Vancouver, Washington (close to Portland, Oregon) area. If you are from there, you may know her as Dr. Meronek (maiden name).
Dr. Tucker currently resides with her two boys, Luke and Noah, in Los Angeles, CA. She enjoys reading, cartoon movies, and dreaming of owning her own doughnut shop.
